Aven Digital Microscope Review

Aven267900-300 USB Digital Microscope Review

This Aven 267900-300 USB Digital Microscope will enable you to take with images inside the small world. Even though the world visible that has a 10x to 200x zoom, it is possible to further imagine seeing a physical object of millimetre or even micrometer size increased on the size in which it floods your monitor 10 inch or smaller to 23 inches or bigger. Not to mention you can take short videos and still images associated with the small life. The USB microscope is nicely packaged and well put together. It incorporates a rugged metal stand and an easy to adjust zoom ring. It can be improved a lot if the need to push the button on the body of the microscope needing a press of a mouse button on the pc to grab images. It can be challenging to keep the camera steady. This option would make it a better microscope.

I made use of my Aven USB microscope for looking at numerous gems a short while ago acquired at public sale and with this it’s probably just a bit of overdoing it but produced fantastic results. Really the only bad issue one can say about it is the metal stand is not that strong, like some others have reported. its advisable to move the specimen not the scope. It did get me a while to truly pinpoint how to use this USB microscope. While it is definitely a bit over kill for acquiring images of gem stones but it’s fantastic for inspecting and producing excellent pictures of my more than two hundred gems collection and similar jewels.

I got this digital microscope to use for school scientific research projects and examining of solder joints on the electronic components, and for this it works well. Image quality is first rate up to 1600x1200 for still shots. The LED brightness can be switch to off, low or high. The software program that accompanies it is functional but really basic. I reviewed some other reviews to find ideas on alternative free software choices that might have additional features. The meta holder that accompanies this usb microscope is pretty cheap but does the work. You might like to get yourself a better stand to retain it more securely depending on your intended use. As a whole, I am really pleased, particularly for the in-expensive price. If you need to look at very small details, this instrument is a perfect tool.

Image quality obtained from this USB microscope is great. We are using other software package to examine images from Windows computers, never had to install computer software that came with this USB microscope. The base seems sturdy, the unit performs effectively, focuses well, the LED lighting at two settings is a plus too. Whether the zoom is adequate for you personally is for you to decide. It is awesome for our youngsters as well as for me to see things up close, images are sharp, intense colors, on large display. The highest resolution is 1600x1200, at this resolution the refresh rate for the video is five fps or so, which can means it is harder to work with and in particular if you move things around a great deal, so it is far better actually to work it at 800x600 where it does 20 fps. At 640x480, the frame rate is about 30fps. The photos are good even at resolution of 1600x1200.
